More of Mom’s Art
This is Morgan Ann. 6 months old and full of energy and love❤️
The Bright Colors of Leaves (Maybe because of the record breaking warm temperatures this February in Wisconsin!)
No… don’t panic – just a silly play on words (Kendra, is so clever) to describe mom’s latest artistic creations. Enjoy.
I got to talk with mom on her birthday. I was so happy to be able to wish her another Happy Birthday – especially knowing that mom is doing SO much better for this 77th birthday than last year at this time and trying to celebrate 76.
Mom reported that she was spending a quiet day after all of the “on-the-go” holiday running around. She told me all about the little things her friends have been dropping off and all of the cards people have been sending. Though my gift did not get to her in time for her birthday, mom was thankful when the warm fuzzy goodies arrived.
Of course, we spent time talking about the Packers and how great their season shaped up. We’re both looking forward to cheering them on during the playoff games (and hopefully beyond that).
As I watch the Packer season come to a close, I am yet again reminded of where we all were last year at this time. Never in a million years did I think that mom would still be here (and doing as well as she is), yet alone make it through another entire Packer season. I am relatively certain that last year’s final Packer games are not easy for mom to remember.
I am so glad she is still of sound mind and able to really enjoy this one. I hope they go all the way – for mom!
Go Pack Go!
“Go Pack Go!” song by 2 members of the Madison band Garbage(Butch Vig and Duke Erikson) with another guy Chad Zaemisch. They go by “6 Packers” for this one-off song.
What a day!
Mom spent the day with Kendra and her family. The Packers won,
the food was good (actually this pie was good it was just hard to cut as it was frozen),
was able to spend some quality time with the (goofy) grandkids!
They even built me a snowman.
And colored with me.
A wonderful time!
Get the family together, enjoy the decorations and prepare for Christmas. We are all doing it.
So is Mom. She creates decorations for her wing. Cute decorations for her hall and room.
We gave her a small tree for her room. Leave it up to Mom to decorate it with, the pickle (of course), candy bar ornaments, and other trinkets she found around her room.
The school kids, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts of the community helped build gingerbread houses, make cookies and do some caroling. Mom said those Cub Scouts needed to practice more.
So for those who haven’t seen Mom this holiday season. Merry Christmas, everyone.
We all have family traditions and in our family it is taking Mom and our family to the Organ Piper Pizza, listening to the organ play our favorite songs, singing, dancing and being silly.
After, we visit Candy Cane Lane to see the lights. This year was extra special as Mom was able to join us again.
I’m Char, a friend of Jan’s, from the Cheddar Chicks (Red Hat group). I met you girls at the home when your mom was so sick last January, early February.
I have some pics to post for her from our outing to Pipers Porch Vineyard. I wanted to put them on her Caringbridge site but then saw you moved her site to here.
Everyone is very happy about Jan’s recovery. What an incredible, amazing wonderful woman. We love her.
Great Great visit with Jan this morning what a difference since my last time with the bright smile, walking with the walker, saying I haven’t walked for a year. Larger room 14 B with a view of a big pond and a bunch of Geese hanging around all day.
Wow Wow glad to see Jan doing sooooo well.
I was getting ready to leave when she was called for her lunch.
